General information
Organisation
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas :
• defence and security,
• nuclear energy (fission and fusion),
• technological research for industry,
• fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.
Drawing on its widely acknowledged expertise, and thanks to its 16000 technicians, engineers, researchers and staff, the CEA actively participates in collaborative projects with a large number of academic and industrial partners.
The CEA is established in ten centers spread throughout France

Description de l'unité
Based mainly in Grenoble and Chambéry, the Laboratoire d'Innovation pour les Technologies des Energies nouvelles et les Nanomatériaux (LITEN) is a major player in European research entirely dedicated to new energy technologies.
A unit of LITEN, the Solar Technologies Department's mission is to develop solar components and integrate them into innovative, competitive and environmentally-friendly systems. The DTS is also developing digital solutions for the intelligent management of connected and isolated energy networks, as well as stationary storage solutions for renewable energy sources, for use in smart neighbourhoods and smart cities.
The SIRE is responsible for developing solutions and technologies for smart electricity grids at different scales: stationary storage systems, flexibility of use, energy conversion, local and global integration of photovoltaic energy.
The Laboratoire d'Intégration Energétique Locale et Autoconsommation (LELA) is responsible for R&D studies into the energy consumption and needs of end users, flexibility, local and district integration, and integration into microgrids and grids.

Job title
Postdoc - 24 months - electrical or energy engineering
Subject
Modelling the environmental impact of building-integrated photovoltaic power plants in relation to new loads such as electric cars.
Contract duration (months)
24 months
Job description
With a PhD in electrical or energy engineering, the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, good autonomy and organizational skills will be major assets in carrying out this mission.
The aim of the position is to model energy exchanges between photovoltaic production facilities, the electricity grid and loads (electric cars, heat pumps for heating and domestic hot water), by developing management algorithms to optimize energy flows.
In a second phase, an extrapolation will be carried out on a national scale to better understand the impact of decentralized PV in relation to buildings. In this way, it is planned to aggregate electricity flows on a regional and national scale in order to dynamically assess the associated environmental impacts over the coming years.
