Job description
We are currently seeking a motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the development of a next-generation wearable device for continuous monitoring of interstitial fluid (ISF) biomarkers.
This project, funded by a national research initiative, focuses on integrating microneedle technology with iontophoretic systems to create a breakthrough in non-invasive physiological monitoring.
As a postdoctoral fellow, you will take the lead in designing and developing an innovative ISF collection system that combines microneedles and iontophoresis. Working closely with our team of specialists in multiphysical simulations, microfluidics, and sensor integration, your role will involve:
- Developing and optimizing the ISF sampling system.
- Collaborating with experts to integrate sensors and electronic components into a functional wearable device.
- Testing and validating the system on synthetic skin models and artificial ISF.
Applicant Profile
The applicant must have a PhD in Material Science, Physics, or a related field with a proven expertise in microfluidics, microneedles, or iontophoresis.
An experience in physiological monitoring systems is highly desirable.
The ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment is also expected.
Why Join Us?
- Innovative Research: Work on a groundbreaking project that merges biomaterials, microfluidics, and advanced sensor technology to create real-world medical applications.
- Cutting-Edge Facilities: Access to top-tier research labs equipped with the latest tools for biomaterial synthesis, microfabrication, and electronic integration.
- Collaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team of researchers and engineers from diverse fields, providing a large opportunity for professional growth and interdisciplinary learning.
- Impact: Contribute to the development of technologies that have the potential to revolutionize patient monitoring and healthcare delivery (cardiology, nephrology, oncology).
In accordance with CEA's commitment to facilitate the integration of disabled people, this position is open to everyone. CEA can offer adjustments and/or organizational changes to help disabled workers's access.
