General information
Organisation
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas :
• defence and security,
• nuclear energy (fission and fusion),
• technological research for industry,
• fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.
Drawing on its widely acknowledged expertise, and thanks to its 16000 technicians, engineers, researchers and staff, the CEA actively participates in collaborative projects with a large number of academic and industrial partners.
The CEA is established in ten centers spread throughout France

Job description
During the post-doctoral fellow, the scientist will have to develop a synthetic pathway to get nanoparticles, corresponding to the specificities of electrically conductive inks field (size, purity, etc). The nanoparticles will then be incorporated into an ink that will be used for the metallization of silicon cells. Targeting the integration of the step in a global recycling process, the researcher will have to optimize the nanoparticles synthesis starting from a template, then work with material coming from real end of life PV panels.
Details of the research topic can be found here :
As a material chemistry & physics, organic chemist or hydrometallurgist PhD, the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, independence, and strong relational skills will be the key to your success in the position.
Will you be up to the Challenge? Develop a synthetic pathway for bimetallic nanoparticles Cu@Ag, for the preparation of electrically conductive ink for solar cells metallization.
Interested? Apply online now. We look forward to getting to know you!
