General information
Organisation
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas :
• defence and security,
• nuclear energy (fission and fusion),
• technological research for industry,
• fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.
Drawing on its widely acknowledged expertise, and thanks to its 16000 technicians, engineers, researchers and staff, the CEA actively participates in collaborative projects with a large number of academic and industrial partners.
The CEA is established in ten centers spread throughout France

Post-Doc: Development of Silicon-Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells for Space Applications
Contract duration (months)
24 months
Job description
The post-doctoral researcher will be based at the DTS on the INES site (Bourget-du-Lac). The goal of this post-doctoral position is to fabricate Silicon-Perovskite tandem cells using these "space-fit" SHJ cells. Primarily in a cleanroom environment, you will carry out all the fabrication steps for the perovskite top cell. You will characterize the fabricated tandems and propose improvements for one or both of the subcells. Tests to assess resistance to the space environment will be scheduled to evaluate the devices' resistance to irradiation (electrons/protons) and rapid thermal cycling.
To successfully carry out this project, the post-doctoral researcher will join the LCT laboratory (Tandem Cells Laboratory, DES/LITEN/DTS/LCT) and benefit from its expertise and equipment.
Applicant Profile
PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science, with experience in the fabrication of perovskite materials. Knowledge of photovoltaics and tandem solar cells would be an advantage.
