LETI has a Silicon platform that brings together all operational resources—including cleanroom facilities, equipment, and processes—with the mission of ensuring the technological fabrication of devices designed either internally or by external clients, in the field of micro- and nanotechnologies.

In this context, the Patterning Service of the Technological Platforms Department must maintain a high level of technical expertise and know-how, while continuously adapting and providing technical solutions to both internal and external requests. The Etching/Stripping Laboratory develops plasma etching, stripping, and post-etch cleaning processes to meet the needs of 300mm technologies on the Silicon platform.
To support its activities, the Etching/Stripping Laboratory is looking to strengthen its R&D team with a new colleague who already has experience in plasma etching for micro- and nanotechnology applications.

We invite you to join our team to strengthen your expertise in plasma etching process development on the CEA-Leti pilot line.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting R&D activities focused on developing environmentally responsible etching processes for advanced non-volatile memory technologies on 300 mm substrates.
- Carrying out scientific studies to improve process understanding, working in close collaboration with Leti teams (integration, materials, lithography, and physico-chemical characterization).
- Contributing to process maturity and performing etching steps
- to supply wafers to various technology platforms.
Reporting the results of your work to stakeholders, including management, project leaders, and project partners. - Ensuring technological watch in the field and promoting your work through eco-innovation initiatives.
Applicant Profile
You have a background in chemistry, microelectronics, or materials science, ideally complemented by a PhD.
You also have initial experience (postdoctoral position, first job, or beyond) in the development of etching processes for micro- and nanotechnology applications.
Experience and awareness of environmental challenges would be an asset.
You are familiar with:
- Working in a cleanroom environment with industrial equipment
- Plasma etching processes
- Common material characterization techniques (ellipsometry, SEM, AFM, XPS, etc.)
