Division description
The Leti, a technological research institute of the DRT of the CEA, has a mission to innovate and transfer innovations to industry. Its core business lies in microelectronics technologies, miniaturization of components, system integration, and integrated circuit architecture, which are at the heart of the internet of things, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and connected health. It shapes differentiating, secure, and reliable solutions aimed at increasing the competitiveness of its industrial partners through technological innovation. The institute is located in Grenoble.
Description de l'unité
Within the Silicon Components department, the LGECA laboratory brings together expertise in analog and mixed-signal design for the miniaturization of integrated systems, whether for sensor applications, energy management, or computing. The laboratory is part of a design platform with nearly 200 integrated circuit designers and benefits from two ecosystems - silicon technology and integrated design - which enrich each other and offer a high level of research vitality. It maintains a strong publication activity while ensuring top-level industrial research, as evidenced by press releases and licenses from our industrial partners. The laboratory's designers carry out the entire integrated circuit design process, from understanding the need, through architecture proposal, schematic design, and validation before ASIC fabrication, to performance testing in the laboratory.

Job description
Join the innovation in analog and power integrated circuit design!
The massive miniaturization of systems and the continuous increase in embedded computing capabilities require ever more advanced optimization of energy efficiency and power solutions. Heterogeneous and 3D integration, as well as new packaging architectures, open unprecedented perspectives for power integration, with numerous innovation challenges: advanced converter architectures, development of new silicon technologies (passives, actives, interconnections), and much more.
In this rapidly evolving context, you will play a key role in proposing innovative integrated power solutions in line with the technologies developed at CEA-Leti. Your main missions will be as follows:
Design power and analog integrated circuits, taking into account the constraints of energy efficiency, miniaturization, and 3D integration,
Participate in the development of new converter architectures and explore innovative solutions to optimize energy management,
Collaborate closely with R&D teams for the integration of new silicon technologies (passives, actives, interconnections) and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes,
Perform simulations and validations to optimize circuit performance and ensure compliance with technical requirements,
Ensure technological monitoring of sector developments and propose innovation axes to anticipate future needs.
Still have doubts? We offer:
A cutting-edge research ecosystem, unique in its kind and dedicated to high-stakes societal themes,
Experience on a theme at the forefront of innovation, with a strong potential for industrial development,
Portfolio activities in a favorable economic context,
A position at the heart of the Grenoble metropolis, easily accessible via soft mobility encouraged by the CEA,
Training to develop or strengthen your skills,
Recognized work-life balance,
Salary according to your diplomas and experience,
An active CSE in terms of leisure and extracurricular activities.
Applicant Profile
Holding a Master's degree in electronics, ideally complemented by a PhD, you have a solid expertise in integrated analog design and power electronics. You master CAD environments dedicated to integrated circuits and have a good understanding of the challenges related to energy optimization and the integration of silicon technologies.
Beyond your technical skills, you are recognized for your analytical ability, autonomy, and proactivity in the face of technological challenges. Your scientific curiosity, communication skills, and team spirit enable you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and actively contribute to innovation.
In line with the CEA's commitments to the integration of people with disabilities, this position is open to all. The CEA offers adjustments and/or organizational possibilities, join us!
