Job description
The Solar Technologies Department at Le Bourget du Lac is looking for a 24-month post-doc to work on the following topic: Development of an ecodesign approach for photovoltaic technologies based on a prospective Life Cycle Assessment methodology.
The objective of this position is to develop a prospective LCA methodology to guide the development of new photovoltaic technologies so that they are eco-designed at all phases of R&D, taking into account the temporal evolution of both foreground and background data.
The LCA models will be developed in Python, using the open-source libraries brightway2 and lca_algebraic.

Applicant Profile
• Engineering degree and/or master's in materials engineering, process engineering, or energy engineering. Knowledge of energy systems, particularly in the photovoltaic sector and/or materials, will be helpful for understanding photovoltaic technologies.
• Previous experience in Life Cycle Assessment / Circular Economy or Eco-design would be appreciated.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming. Experience with Brightway2 and/or Premise would be an asset.
