Job description
As an intern at CEA, you will have the opportunity to work in a world-renowned research environment. Our teams consist of passionate and dedicated experts, providing an ideal setting for learning and collaboration. You will have access to cutting-edge equipment and top-tier research resources to successfully complete your assignments.
The Laboratory for Microfluidic Systems and Bioengineering (LSMB), in collaboration with researchers from the Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG) at CEA, has developed an innovative method for detecting biomarkers (oligonucleotides, proteins, etc.) based on antibodies coupled to magnetic beads, combined with nucleic acid amplification by LAMP (isothermal). As part of a current thesis, this method is being integrated into a microfluidic chip developed at LSMB to demonstrate proof of concept through the detection of cardiac biomarkers.
Many diagnostic applications require the simultaneous detection of various biomarkers to ensure a more reliable prognosis. The objective of the internship is to develop multiplexed detection of biomarkers. The internship will focus more specifically on the development of the biological protocol for detecting the biomarkers of interest. This protocol will be implemented in a microfluidic chip.
This new approach opens up perspectives for meeting the needs of medicine of the future, requiring sensitive, fast, robust, integrated protocols for portable analysis.
